今次最後一個要介紹的就是
quake 2 了, 如果你一玩 doom-like game 就會作悶, 一見血就會頭暈的話,
就千萬不要玩了!
id software 在 quake 2 中, 一再加強血腥成份, 敵人死法多樣, 有普通的擊斃,有屍骨無全, 還有垂死掙扎, 玩這個 game 你也不能仁慈, 因為如果你不把敵人打到死無全屍的話, 垂死的掙扎很可能令你受到不少的傷害! 除了這些以外, 場景也很血腥, 其中有刑場那一關為代表作, 全個地圖有幾個行刑的機器, 把一個一個活生生的會掙扎叫救命的人壓死.... 噁... 好了, 如果你看到這裡已經被「血腥」吸引, 你就可以不用看下面了, 趕快買套回來玩吧!
這遊戲玩法和同類沒有大的不同, 但揉合了 id software 載入時間不長 (不像 Hexen2... 一個開始和 loadgame 時間就足夠你沖咖啡喝) 和類似 Hexen 的, 以任務為主在幾個地圖中來回的結構, 但是 quake 2 以殺敵為主, 沒有什麼解謎成份, 只要順著隨身電腦的指示殺下去就可以了.
武器方面, 全部都是遠程的, 不過共有 11 種武器, 各有各的特性, 在不同的場面要用什麼, 是足以影響生死存亡的, 其中我最喜歡的是最後兩款, 都頗為有趣: 一種是螺旋長條直射出去的攻擊, 範圍雖小, 但如果在巷戰中使用就很有趣了 - 一串敵人全部倒下; 另一種就是 DOOM 的 BFG9000 型的, 也是用電極多, 但又可以一次攻擊全場敵人的武器 - 一個綠色的發光球體, 發出數道錄光直射敵人, 然後就一個一個粉身碎骨....
在 quake 2 , 有一件相當有用的裝備是以前沒有的 - Power shield , 可以隨時啟動或關閉, 它會把減輕攻擊造成的傷害同時扣 Cell 的電源, 很好用, 如果你拾到的話, 就立即把它打開吧, 不然就會很易 game over 的.
